Dealership's donation gives pets a home | WAVY.com | Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Priority Automotive will give 100 animals a home this holiday season through a $10,000 donation. The money, matched with an additional $10,000 donation from Toyota, will pay the adoption fees for the animals at three shelters.

The Priority Adoption Program will pay for spaying/neutering and all required shots for 100 animals at the Virginia Beach SPCA , the Norfolk SPCA and at Chesapeake Animal Control .

"There are literally hundreds of dogs and cats in our local shelters that will make wonderful pets and need a nice warm home for Christmas,? Dennis Ellmer, President and Owner of Priority, said. ?I don?t want the cost of adoption to stop anyone from taking one of these great dogs and cats home and making them part of their family."

The program, started by Priority, is in its second year. The Priority Adoption Program will begin December 1 and end when all the adoption funds run out.
